Connecting GSC-X to enterprise software
and production control systems.

Data connection, evaluation and response cycle

A predictive layer above your system

GDS Control Systems is the application and integration branch built around the GSC-X Executive Kernel. It translates dynamic-state evaluation into operational use: system data informs state and risk estimates, which support recommendations or predefined authorised responses. Existing software, controllers and protective layers form the foundation of integration.

We deliver software connected to your existing setup

We deliver operational software — the GSC-X executive and predictive layer, configuration, integration specifications, documentation and remote support. Hardware is outside the delivery scope: computers, servers, sensors, controllers, networking and any additional equipment are provided by the customer or their supplier. The software connects to the existing setup through agreed interfaces; local installation and physical connections are performed by the customer’s IT or automation team.

Remote implementation

Our preferred collaboration model is remote. Together with the customer’s technical team, we define data sources, the target environment, integration interfaces and permissions. We prepare configuration and evaluation procedures; the customer provides the required outputs and performs local steps using the documentation. Direct remote access to infrastructure is agreed separately and limited to the necessary scope.

From an initial data sample to evaluation

1. Scope and non-disclosure agreement (NDA)

Before non-public technical and operational data is shared, we enter into a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the customer. The agreement defines confidential information, its permitted use for GSC-X evaluation and integration, and the conditions for protecting it. Together, we define the improvement objective, available variables and evaluation metrics. The customer supplies the equipment or service description, time units and known failure events.

2. Agreed data transfer

Data can be shared through customer-approved secure storage with restricted access or encrypted transfer such as SFTP. Recipients, purpose, scope, retention and deletion are agreed in advance. The customer anonymises personal data and sensitive identifiers where necessary; passwords and other credentials must not be included in the export.

3. Sample and data-quality check

We suggest starting with a representative export, such as CSV or JSON containing timestamps, values, units and column definitions. We assess completeness, temporal consistency and suitability, and recommend additional measurements where needed.

4. Analysis and configuration proposal

We perform replay evaluation and comparison against the baseline using the supplied data. Outputs include a technical report with metrics, identified limitations and a proposed data connection, operating mode and further evaluation plan.

5. Handover and subsequent pilot

The report, configuration and agreed software outputs are returned through the same approved channel. For a pilot, we propose periodic batch exports or continuous data transfer through an API according to the customer’s capabilities. Shadow operation is evaluated first; any interventions require separate acceptance tests.

The transfer method is a proposal for each integration rather than a mandatory service from a single provider. Where data must remain within the customer’s environment, we assess local evaluation and transfer of agreed results only.

What connecting GSC-X involves

The connection is based on available telemetry, such as temperatures, vibration, load, energy use, service response times or queue states. Enterprise software and production systems differ in their data sources and the way results are delivered.

Enterprise software and digital infrastructure

Application, API, database and monitoring records can provide latency, availability and capacity data. Outputs may include early warnings, recommendations to reroute tasks or a proposed operating-mode change.

A factory, machine or production line

Sensor and control-system telemetry enables deviations, degradation and stability reserves to be monitored. Outputs can support maintenance, operating-point adjustments or load reduction within the approved process limits.

Four levels of integration

Authority is selected separately from the operational objective. The recommended path progresses from data evaluation towards possible intervention; available functions depend on the implementation and integration interfaces.

01 · Offline / replay

Historical data or a digital twin. Compare against the baseline and evaluate metrics and scenarios without connecting to live control.

02 · Shadow mode

Live or near-live telemetry. GSC-X evaluates state and predicts while existing controllers continue to operate the process.

03 · Advisory mode

Warnings and proposed responses are passed to an operator or supervisory application. A person or approved control workflow decides whether to act.

04 · Bounded executive mode

Following separate evaluation, the integration may perform defined interventions such as mode selection, task routing or adjustment of an authorised parameter. Authority, limits and fallback to baseline control are specified in advance.

Choosing the operational priority

Within the selected integration level, different operational priorities can be evaluated for each application. These profiles describe configuration objectives rather than universal switches with identical effects across domains.

Safety and reserve
Limit risky regimes and preserve room for recovery.
Performance and productivity
Increase useful output within authorised limits.
ECO and energy
Seek a better balance between useful output and consumption.
Balanced operation
Evaluate performance, energy, wear and resilience together.

What operators and integration teams receive

Outputs may include evaluated state, risk trends, recovery reserve, warnings and recommended responses, together with records for later evaluation. The integration design determines the format: a report, API or connection to an existing supervisory interface.

From research kernel to evaluated integration

The current path involves system-specific configuration, replay validation, a shadow pilot and then, where appropriate, authorised control. GDS Control Systems has a defined architecture; a standardised deployable V1 package remains a development milestone. Connectivity, response times, data quality and actual value are therefore evaluated under the conditions of each application.
